Attention Spam offers, as it's name implies, quite an 'in your face' compilation. This double pack pressed on silver vinyl delivers five industrial techno tracks with new and previously unreleased material by Mononom, Delaysid, Fre2K and Swonkdog. Mostly about ten minutes long, these tracks are made with a simple purpose, which generally involves lot's of speakers, db's and the occassional strobe off course. Having said that, there are several differences amongst them as well, both in syle and approach. Production wise there is a lot to listen to.

Although striking a different chord from the outset, both Swonkdog's 'Kurfurstendamm bei Weihnachten' and Mononom's 'Stepping Stones' share a degree of production that could be described as visual in a sense, meaning there are many layers involved here, and lot's of subtle programming apart from the ruthless drumcomputers running crazy.
Delaysid’s ’The Button’ is different, containing lot’s of crazy samples and sloppy rhythms. It's distinctive vibe compared to most hard techno makes it a refreshing (and funny) tool for those who like it raw.
The other two tracks were both recorded a while ago, during the highlights of the genre at the end of the nineties. Fre2k’s ‘Kamikaze’ is about as deep as it get’s: ten minutes of warm, greasy, analog drums, repeatedly interrupted by some jet fighter ‘callin’ it kamikaze’. This is acid like it’s meant to be.
Mononom’s ‘Swiffer’ is a prototypical industrial techno song, containing all ingredients which make both the crowd and most dj’s wanna crank the volme up even more. Oldschool perhaps, but how very effective.
