Bootstrapping 1

The bootstrapping project came out as two 12" EP's for the newly born Eat Concrete label. All tracks were produced by a network of friends who have been involved in electronic music for quite a few years. Both records were compiled by Eat Concrete founder Pete Concrete.
The first part, Bootstrapping 1.1, offers Chicago house, Acid and IDM styled electronica. Ateeze’s ‘Atlanta Carbon’ starts off with a fresh chord, a funky bassline and crisp drumsounds, bringing a positive vibe to move along. Brian Chinetti aka Orgue Electronique offers ‘On a String’, an instant classic and one of his finest pieces of 707-style programming. Evan Odd’s brings ‘Ichi’, a rich production filled with eastern vocals, crystal bells and warm arpeggio's. On the flipside we meet Ro Lee and his ‘Secret Pass Of Mt. Taishan’, an original and densely produced story. Last is ‘I’m Your Pusher’ by 'The Freak With Thousand E’s, by now a genuine dancefloor favourite with a warm 808 and it's running 303 acid bassline.
Bootstrapping part two leaves daylight, going underground. Sensory Overload sets the score with the futuristic and haunting 'Andomeda Strain'. Mononom delivers ‘Shrinking’, an uptempo techno track with squeaky synths and stereo effects filling the room. Ricercar’s ‘Ms Team’ speeds up even further, analogue style. Last is Swonkdog’s ‘Chronicles of a Batcave”, a beautifully dark track that runs for fourteen minutes, reminiscent to the best work of Locust, Scorn or Coil.
